Do you think elbows should be legal on the ground in the ufc?

I believe elbows should be illegal on the ground because they are cheap(require little technique, just like headbutts), are accosiated with most cut stoppages, and have virtually no defense agianst them while on the ground. For example, i heard that jon jones beat brandon vera beacaue brandon vera(on the bottom) had wrist control over jon jones and jon jones elbowed him the coldest because brandon vera had no way of defending the elbow because of the way he was holding his wrist (which is important for BJJ). That is why i think elbows should be illegal on the ground in the ufc and all mma promotions.
